Role Overview
Our Application Systems Engineering Support Group within Enterprise Infrastructure combines Operations Excellence with the Development Experience to deliver services at high scale, high availability, and resilience by using automation and Infrastructure as Code. We build reliability into our ecosystem by applying standard processes in resiliency engineering, automation, and observability.


Skills

• 7-8+ years of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles
• Observability tools: Splunk, Datadog, etc.
• Cloud development - Azure (ADF pipelines) and AWS using Python
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes

Team Overview
The team comes from diverse technical backgrounds, and the responsibilities provide the opportunity for a variety of challenges. Ideal candidates will have a background in either systems engineering or software engineering with a desire to learn and understand the other or previous experience as a systems engineer or SRE.
We are looking for a Systems Thinking Leader who has helped teams scale through production insights, operational automation, developer guidance, real-time metrics, and automation.


The Role

The Expertise You Have

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field required; Master's preferred
• 7-8+ years of experience supporting distributed multi-tier systems at scale
• Strong experience managing system stability and availability
• Knowledge of ITIL practices
• DevOps & SRE expertise
• Agile delivery experience
• Networking fundamentals (ping, traceroute, DNS)
• Observability tools (Splunk, Datadog)
• Linux/UNIX and Windows administration
• Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure, SaaS solutions)
• Kubernetes and container orchestration
• CI/CD pipelines
• PowerShell and Python scripting
• Production support in financial systems
• Docker and cloud platforms
• AWS certification (nice to have)
