Server

The Golf Course Server provides friendly, efficient, and professional food and beverage service to golf course patrons in the clubhouse, patio, and on-course service areas. This position supports a positive guest experience by ensuring timely service, accurate order fulfillment, and a clean, welcoming environment while adhering to all safety and service standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet guests promptly and courteously and present menus. Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system. Serve food and beverages in accordance with quality, presentation, and safety standards. Prepare and deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with applicable laws and policies. Check identification and follow responsible alcohol service guidelines. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, bar area, and surrounding workspaces. Process guest payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and member charges. Restock supplies, condiments, and beverages as needed. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely service. Resolve guest concerns professionally or step to a supervisor when needed. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling procedures. Job Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous food and beverage or customer service experience preferred; on-the-job training provided. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (or ability to learn). Ability to operate a POS system and handle basic math transactions accurately. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must demonstrate a positive attitude, professionalism, and teamwork. First aid/CPR/AED certification a plus or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Appearance must be clean, neat and professional. Must have excellent customer service skills. Education and Experience: Some restaurant/server experience preferred but will train. Work Environment: Physical Abilities Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25–30 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting. Ability to safely carry trays, food, and beverages. Work Environment Work is primarily performed in a golf course clubhouse, restaurant, bar, patio, and occasionally outdoors on the course. The environment may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, noise, and food service equipment. Interaction with the public is frequent.
