As The Nursing Business Office Specialist, You Will Provide administrative expertise to support core business operations Manage schedules, time and attendance, and payroll data support for a diverse professional and para-professional workforce that supports a 24 hour/365-day patient care delivery model Use your understanding of the hospital’s scheduling and time and attendance systems to accurately pay employees in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and hospital policies Be an integral part of the onboarding process for new staff, proactively provisioning new hires to key information technology systems and registering them to assigned computer-based training modules based on job class and specialty Submit hours for payroll processing after reviewing timecards and work rules for accuracy, resolving missing swipes, scheduled shifts are on timecards, cost center transfers, assigned jobs and pay codes are correct Monitor employee attendance records, prompting manager involvement in counseling process when a rule variant occurs; including follow up that the counseling occurred and all is accurately documented Complete audits to ensure employee compliance with established scheduling and payroll guidelines What You'll Bring Associate's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience Knowledge of office and administrative procedures with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks Advanced working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office products Previous administrative experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferably Salary Range: Minimum 20.52/hour - Maximum 33.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
