DESCRIPTION OF WORK The employee in this position provides clerical support for the Personal Care Unit Administrator at the Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home (HVH). As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties: Rule Compliance: Inform the Personal Care Administrator of resident rule violations and type warning letters as directed Record Maintenance : Maintain binders, files, and manuals to support regulatory compliance and surveys Resident Support : Collect information, forward inquiries, and assist residents with questions and routine needs D ocumentation Tracking: Track RASPs and DMEs each month and notify assigned LPNs of upcoming due dates Admission Processing : Complete and process admission documents for new residents Correspondence Handling : Type and distribute resident communications and provide reimbursement envelopes to the mailroom Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Previous experience working in a long-term care or large healthcare facility. Previous experience in clerical purchasing. Previous experience performing clerical duties. Previous experience working in SAP or SRM entering shopping carts/requisitions. Previous experience with the purchasing process of good receipts for credit card orders. Previous experience obtaining required paperwork for contracts from vendors to include credentials, licensing information, and background check verifications. Previous experience researching and contacting vendors for pricing information regarding various goods and services. Previous experience working in Microsoft Excel.
