Description - What You'll Do

• Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests spanning chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more according to established protocols.
• Evaluate results for accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for testing as necessary.
• Document all procedures meticulously, mentor new staff or students, and help uphold the highest laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment, adhering strictly to regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent degree in allied health along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.
