Location Texas Health Allen 1105 Central Expwy North TX 75013 Work Hours PRN – working a rotating schedule, mainly days, calls and rotating holidays Department Highlights Growing Cardiology services including structural heart. What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Associate’s Degree accredited school of ultrasound technology (Required) 1 year prior experience (Preferred) RCS – Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Required upon hire) RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Required upon hire) RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist (Required upon hire) RVS – Registered Vascular Specialist (Required upon hire) BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) What You Will Do Produce quality Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, and/or Vascular studies following department policies and procedures, as well as IAC standards. Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology relevant to adult echocardiography, including transthoracic and transesophageal studies, stress studies, and studies with echo‑enhancing agents. Recognize normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology relevant to vascular ultrasound; studies may include upper and lower extremity arterial and venous, carotid, abdominal aortic, ABI/segmental pressure, venous reflux, and vein mapping. Convey appropriate, relevant information to physicians and other health‑care providers, communicating effectively. Demonstrate knowledge of quality control and quality assurance.
