Salary: $75,000 - $90,000

A privately held commercial real estate ownership and management company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee capital projects and tenant improvement work across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties throughout the Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple construction, renovation, and capital projects simultaneously across commercial properties
• Oversee tenant improvement projects, space remodels, building upgrades, roofing projects, compliance-related improvements, and property enhancements
• Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and municipality officials
• Review plans, drawings, budgets, schedules, and project documentation
• Track project timelines, budgets, change orders, and contractor performance
• Obtain bids, negotiate pricing, and support vendor selection processes
• Assist with permitting, inspections, and code compliance requirements
• Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress throughout project lifecycles
• Partner with leasing, property management, and operations teams to support tenant build-outs and occupancy initiatives
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
• Provide regular project updates to leadership

Requirements:

• 3+ years of project management, construction management, architecture, development, or owner's representative experience
• Experience managing commercial office construction / development projects
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, budgeting, permitting, and scheduling
• Ability to coordinate vendors, contractors, and consultants
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Real Estate Development, or a related field
• Experience with commercial office, retail, industrial, or mixed-use projects
• Familiarity with Chicagoland building codes and permitting processes
