Field Reimbursement Manager

Overview McKesson's Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is responsible for managing a designated territory focused on supporting reimbursement and patient services for a specific drug. The FRM provides assistance with patient reimbursement challenges, educates providers on payer landscape, and delivers both remote and on‑site training to physician practices and manufacturer representatives. The role requires travel, project management, and close collaboration with internal program hub support services. Key Responsibilities Deliver on‑site and on‑call education for office staff regarding reimbursement challenges and available support services. Conduct lunch & learn or dinner presentations and virtual sessions (≈15 interactions weekly). Document all activities in the FRM CRM and report monthly topics to the client; provide quarterly trend reports. Offer reimbursement support: case management, billing and coding updates, claims submission, specialty pharmacy assistance, medical benefit interpretation, medical necessity reviews, claims and appeal assistance, co‑pay assistance, and patient assistance programs. Collaborate with case managers (≈4 meetings monthly) and handle escalations as needed. Schedule appointments and perform outbound calls to target offices; manage backlog casework. Interface with physicians and manufacturer representatives to obtain and supply provider‑specific information. Track all interactions and activities in the FRM CRM for regular reporting to management and the client. Monitor program performance for physicians and manufacturer representatives via the FRM CRM dashboard; conduct quarterly performance reviews and surveys. Research and compile provider/manufacturer partner information; create and maintain a facility database for each new provider. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 4years of healthcare‑related reimbursement experience. Strong medical reimbursement background with Buy‑&Bill and/or specialty pharmacy experience. Experience with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and claim adjudication in a physician office or clinic setting. Proficient knowledge of Medicare and commercial insurance coverage. Ability to document benefit‑investigation outcomes and provide regular status reports. Excellent presentation, prioritization, and organizational skills. Strong computer literacy (PowerPoint, web‑meeting platforms). Preferred: previous field experience, specialty pharmacy, account‑management background, and advanced interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel up to 80% of the time (≈4days per week) within the territory. Compensation & Benefits Base pay range: $84,300–$140,500.
