Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a meaningful opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting PreK-8 students on a part-time contract basis. You'll work with a dedicated school community, addressing the unique needs of its students between June 1 and July 16. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., providing you with a balanced work routine and flexible afternoons.
Your expertise will focus on assessment, intervention, and collaboration within a vibrant elementary school setting. As part of this assignment, you’ll contribute directly to student growth during the crucial summer period, helping ensure equitable access to support for all learners. This role is open to both in-person and VOCO (virtual/remote) professionals, providing added flexibility.
What you’ll need:
- Current School Psychologist credential issued by the Louisiana Department of Education
- Completion of all required district background checks and fingerprinting
- Experience working with PreK through grade 8 populations preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, students, and families
- Demonstrated skills in conducting assessments, developing interventions, and participating in IEP meetings
Your key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and IEP/504 meetings
- Develop intervention plans supporting academic, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Provide direct and consultative services, both individually and in groups
