Role Overview

As an Emergency Room Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses or providers. Your work ensures that patients receive timely and compassionate care in a high-pressure environment. This role is essential in supporting the clinical team and enhancing the overall patient experience in our Emergency Department.

What You Will Do

• Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice.
• Support registered nurses and providers in delivering timely and effective emergency care.
• Ensure a safe and organized environment for patients and staff in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide compassionate and efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• BCLS certification.
• One of the following certifications/programs: B-EMT, Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program, Completion of a formal nursing education program, Completion of a formal medical doctor education program, OR One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of above completed certification/program (Must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire).
• Successful completion of a 180-day orientation period.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience.
• EMT license.
