Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020-$2,130
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: February 14, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital medical-surgical telemetry unit

Med-Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting preferred
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Multistate Compact Registered Nurse license, when applicable
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for assigned medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate members of the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards and provider orders
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary professionals to coordinate quality patient care
• Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and care coordination accurately and in a timely manner
• Delegate and oversee patient care activities performed by nursing support staff in accordance with applicable policies and professional standards
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to professional nursing practice standards
