CALL CENTER SPECIALIST

Job Description The Call Center Specialist works as a member of the Admissions Department and represents Lakeside Behavioral Health System and its programs to all those inquiring for services. The Call Center Specialist serves as a liaison between LBHS and referral sources, patients and families. The primary function is to facilitate referrals between referring mobile crisis agencies, hospitals and other referral sources in support of the call center operations. The Call Center Specialist prioritizes referrals made to LBHS and provides exceptional customer service to all partnering agencies, with thorough and accurate documentation of calls and other admissions‑related paperwork as a critical component of the job. Responsibilities Represent LBHS and its programs to all service inquiries. Liaise between LBHS and referral sources, patients, and families. Facilitate referrals between mobile crisis agencies, hospitals, and other referral sources. Prioritize referrals to LBHS and provide exceptional customer service to partner agencies. Document calls and admissions paperwork accurately and thoroughly. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or Social Services field. Experience: Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Knowledge: Crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age‑specific growth and development, and crisis and behavior management.
