Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Step Down Unit – Georgia

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Schedule: Medical Step Down Unit | 6–20 bed unit | Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4 | Possible float to other Intermediate Care units as needed

Highlights:

• Work in a dynamic Medical Step Down environment caring for a diverse patient population
• Manage complex conditions including Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy
• Consistent nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 supporting quality care delivery
• Opportunity to float to other Intermediate Care units (5J and 12A most common) to enhance clinical skills
• Join a collaborative team focused on high-acuity medical patient care

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RN license (or eligibility for compact licensure)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care or step down setting
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
