Occupational Therapist (OT) – School-Based (K-12) | Full-Time | 2026-2027 School Year

Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Schedule: Full-Time (35-37.5 hours per week)
Contract Duration: August 2026 – June 2027
Openings: 2 Positions Available

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and flexible Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join a school-based team for the 2026-2027 school year. The Occupational Therapist will provide services to students across a K-12 caseload, supporting their academic participation, functional independence, and overall educational success.

This role requires the ability to work across multiple school locations within the district and collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to develop and implement effective therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and intervention services for students in grades K-12.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' educational needs and IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
• Consult with teachers, support staff, and families regarding strategies to enhance student participation and performance in the school environment.
• Adapt classroom materials, equipment, and environments to support student success.
• Provide recommendations for assistive technology and adaptive equipment as appropriate.
• Potentially support students utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license/certification in the state of New Hampshire, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience working with pediatric populations and students with diverse learning and developmental needs.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education regulations preferred.
• Experience with AAC devices is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing student needs and work effectively across multiple school settings.
