The Rehabilitation and Enterprises Division plays a critical role in Montana’s correctional system — supporting the physical and mental well‑being of inmates, providing education and job‑readiness programs, guiding community reintegration, and offering trauma‑informed services to victims. As a Nursing Aide in our 24/7 Infirmary Unit, you’ll be at the heart of clinical care inside a secure facility. The unit features 13 inpatient beds and supports more than 1,400 inmates, offering a uniquely dynamic and meaningful healthcare environment. In this role you will: * Deliver hands‑on patient care and support medical case management across the facility. * Perform medical screenings, triage, daily sick call, medication administration, and chronic care support. * Provide education, counseling, and assistance with daily living activities. * Maintain safety and security within a structured, team‑oriented environment. * Help stabilize and support inmates so they can successfully reintegrate into the general population or the community. This is not your typical Nursing Aide role — it’s purpose‑driven care in a challenging, highly rewarding setting. QUALIFICATIONS The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to: * High school diploma or equivalent. * 1-2 years of job-related experience. * May be certified in Basic Life Safety. * Graduation from a Nursing Training Program is preferred but not required. Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
