Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of 15 physicians and 20 APPs at Frederick Health Hospital.
\n
• Work alongside a Clinical Performance nurse. We prioritize the longevity of our clinicians and provide comprehensive ancillary services in the ED, including peer recovery, ED pharmacists, crisis intervention, social work, and case management.
\n
• For those who like to teach, we work with medical students, APPs, and residents from Shenandoah, Frostburg, and other local programs.
\n
• Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
\n
• Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.

Qualifications:

• Board certified/eligible in emergency medicine
\n
• New graduates, residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply.
\n
• Authorized to work in the United States.
\n

Scheduling:

• Enjoy a flexible schedule that supports work-life balance and offers a variety of shift options.

• There are full-time, part-time, or PRN positions available

• Ranked as the 3rd busiest ED in Maryland, with a remarkable 80,000 annual visits, we have been recognized as a State Top Performer in EMS offload time, showcasing our commitment to efficiency.

• Seamless integration with Sound Physicians’ hospitalist, observation, pediatric, and critical care teams for smooth throughput, ensuring a low LWBS rate of less than 3%.
\n
• High acuity setting with a 30% admission rate, complemented by our designation as a STEMI Center and Primary Stroke Center, offering ED MRI for stroke and spinal cord emergencies.
\n
• We are magnet status accredited with fully staffed nursing, ensuring a high standard of care.
\n
• Cutting-edge facilities, including point-of-care ultrasound in the ED, an ED pharmacist, and dedicated ED social work/case management.

Compensation:

• W2 rates equivalent to $225/hour days; $240/hour nights.
