Position OverviewPacket Digital is a fast-growing company driven by innovation and collaboration. The Inventory Control and Shipping Specialist supports the manufacturing process by ensuring inventory materials are properly handled, tracked, and processed. ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities include:Manage all inventory transactions in the ERP systemDefine and enforce inventory best practices, policies, and processesSort and place received material into inventory binsReturn unused materials to inventoryMaintain accurate inventory counts by performing cycle counts and adjustmentsInvestigate and find root causes of discrepanciesReject and process nonconforming material following processes for quality controlProcess move tickets and distribute material to requestersOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as neededSuggest process improvements for continual improvementAssist with production when neededAll other tasks as apparent or assigned QualificationsThe successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:Required:Knowledge of inventory control processes and best practicesExperience with ERP systemsOrganized and detail-orientedHigh standards for completed workAdherence to process and proceduresAbility to lift 50 lbs.High school diplomaTwo (2) or more years of inventory control experience  Preferred:Manufacturing experience in multiple functions of production including assembly, shipping/receiving, etc.Mechanical skills and experience with hand and power toolsKnowledge of lean manufacturing practicesForklift certified Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time position based in our main office.
