Discover more about our Ocala, Florida location.MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.The Supplier Quality Engineer serves as a key quality interface between suppliers, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and customers. This role independently leads complex supplier quality issues, supplier performance improvement, risk mitigation, corrective action, and compliance activities to ensure procured products and services meet contractual, technical, quality, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will influence cross-functional teams and suppliers to prevent defects, improve performance, reduce program risk, and achieve quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives.Basic QualificationsMust be a U.S. CitizenBachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent professional experience consistent with Level 4 responsibilitiesExtensive experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related aerospace/defense quality disciplineDemonstrated ability to independently investigate and resolve complex supplier quality and manufacturing issuesWorking knowledge and practical application of Quality Management System requirements such as AS9100 and/or ISO 9001Demonstrated experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies and corrective action effectivenessExperience analyzing supplier quality data, identifying systemic trends, and developing risk-based improvement actionsExperience with supplier quality processes including source inspection, First Article Inspection (FAI), or supplier auditsDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authorityStrong technical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with suppliers, customers, engineering, program leadership, and senior managementStrong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to independently manage multiple complex assignmentsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordAbility to travel to supplier locations if requiredDesired SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or another STEM disciplineExperience with electronic assemblies, circuit card assemblies, wiring harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, or related manufacturing processesExperience with Lockheed Martin business systems such as SAP, Apriso, Windchill, etcASQ certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP)Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificationDemonstrated ability to mentor and technically develop other quality professionalsStrong business acumen with an understanding of the relationship between quality, cost, schedule, supply chain performance, and customer satisfactionDemonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors, including delivering results, shaping the future, building effective relationships, energizing the team, and modeling personal excellence, integrity, and accountabilityPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
