Summary The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles while ensuring excellent customer service. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to quality work. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake inspections. Diagnose and repair automotive issues including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, suspension, and electrical systems. Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems accurately. Provide customers with accurate service recommendations based on diagnostics and inspections. Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets safety standards and Colony Tire's quality expectations. Maintain clean and organized workspaces, adhering to Colony Tire’s safety and cleanliness protocols. Communicate effectively with service advisors and other team members regarding repairs, parts needs, and any additional service recommendations. Follow up on repair orders and maintain detailed service records. Stay up to date with new automotive technology, service procedures, and manufacturer specifications. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns in a professional manner. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and technology. Familiarity with diagnostic and repair tools. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently. Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for long periods, work with hands, and lift up to 100 lbs. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The environment may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. Employees frequently work with dirty and greasy parts and in awkward positions. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. As a result, minor workplace injuries are not uncommon, but employees usually can avoid serious accidents if safe practices are observed. Education High school or equivalency, and/or related experience is preferred but not required.
