Hospitalist - Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported)

Hospitalist – Independent Practice – MedCBO (Ownership Model) Physicians own and operate an independent hospitalist practice supported by MedCBO’s comprehensive administrative and operational platform. No employment relationship. Physicians govern clinical operations and patient care policies. MedCBO provides non‑clinical support including revenue cycle, EHR, staffing, financial reporting, and vendor coordination. Physician Responsibilities Provide hospitalist care within specialty scope Develop professional relationships within the medical community Collaborate with MedCBO for payer credentialing and contract negotiation Manage clinical quality and patient experience Determine clinical services offered Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in the intended state Board Certified or Board Eligible in an appropriate specialty Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations or disciplinary restrictions preventing independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is generated by the physician‑owned practice. Outcomes vary by specialty scope, services offered, payer mix, physician activity, and local market conditions. Results are not guaranteed.
