PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)As a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you're pivotal in providing comprehensive respiratory care and evaluating patients with respiratory illnesses. Collaborates care with the multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with others. Ensures patient care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department and regulatory agencies. As a PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) you are accountable for maintaining all skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe, effective and developmentally appropriate respiratory care to all ages of patients from neonate to adolescent. Along with other members of the care team, is responsible for patient outcomes which meet the high standards of care provided by JHACH.Key Accountabilities:Assesses patient's clinical status, evaluates progress toward goals, and recommends courses of action to determine a plan of carePlans for patient's respiratory care needs in collaboration with other members of the care team to provide the highest quality of clinical outcomesSafely performs various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines and policies to provide safe patient careAnalyzes critical situations and applies appropriate judgement and critical thinking to achieve problem resolutionAccurately and reliably interprets and communicates patient results to support patient careDocuments interventions performed and response to therapies in the electronic medical record to result in compliant and useful documentationInteracts with and explains therapeutic modalities to patients, families and the interdisciplinary team in an understandable manner based on learning styles and individual diversity to ensure collaborative care coordinationEffectively works in a team-based environment, especially during stressful situations involving quickly changing priorities to achieve the highest quality of patient outcomes.Qualifications:Associate's Degree in Respiratory TherapyCurrent Florida Respiratory Therapist LicensureCurrent Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC) OR current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) OR an equivalent credential acceptable to the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)Must be a graduate from a Registered Respiratory Therapy Program approved by the Commission of Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)Minimum of 1 year experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferredNo experience required for New graduate Registered Respiratory TherapistCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationCurrent PALS certification from the American Heart Association or must be obtained within 120-day orientation periodCurrent NRP certification if working in the Neonatal Intensive Care UnitSalary Range: Minimum 41.00/hour - Maximum 41.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
