Floating Veterinary Technician - East Valley

Veterinary Technician Salary: $25 - $32 / hour Benefits Flexible work schedule (4-10 hour shifts) 3 weeks of paid time off in your first year 7 paid holidays Industry-leading pet care discount Scrub/uniform allowance Health, dental, vision, and HSA Paid parental leave Hands‑on training and mentorship Personal and professional development and opportunities for growth Responsibilities Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, under their direct supervision Provide high-quality care to all pets in the hospital’s care and demonstrate excellent customer service to clients Assist in surgery care such as pre-anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care Provide written and verbal communication to clients regarding their pet’s care, answer questions, educate them on treatments, and gain consent for treatment plans Manage medical records through practice management software Dispense medication, perform x-rays, perform blood draws, place catheters, obtain samples, provide treatments, run diagnostic equipment, administer vaccines, and provide animal restraint when necessary Set up, break down, clean, and maintain medical equipment Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital Qualifications Comfortable interacting with furry, fuzzy, feathered, and scaly animals with calm and compassion Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills Ability to lift at least 40 pounds Certified veterinary technician (preferred) Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred) Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability. #J-18808-Ljbffr 8096 ARIZONA VETERINARY MEDICINE P.C
