Pay: $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

Location: This role is based in Foster City, CA with a flexible hybrid structure. Candidates should live in the Bay Area and be available for in-person court appearances, depositions, client meetings, and firm needs as required.

Note: Candidates must have an active California Bar license, 5+ years of family law experience, and substantial family law litigation and courtroom experience.

Job Description

• Manage sophisticated family law matters from start to finish, including divorce, custody, support, adoption, mediation, and property division.
• Represent clients in family court proceedings, hearings, settlement conferences, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Draft and review motions, pleadings, declarations, marital settlement agreements, parenting plans, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, and other court filings.
• Counsel clients through sensitive and high-stakes family transitions with clarity, empathy, and sound legal strategy.
• Handle complex asset division matters involving business interests, founder’s stock, carried interest, offshore accounts, real estate, and other high-net-worth issues.
• Proactively manage deadlines, court calendars, case strategy, client communication, and upcoming deliverables.
• Work closely with attorneys and support staff to deliver efficient, responsive, and exceptional client service.
• Drive cases forward with professionalism, organization, accountability, and strong litigation judgment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 5+ years of family law experience.
• Strong family law litigation background, including courtroom appearances and trial exposure.
• Experience managing divorce, custody, support, and property division matters.
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated cases and communicate effectively with clients.
• Strong legal writing, research, drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, responsive, and professional.
• Must reside in the Bay Area and be available for required in-person court appearances, depositions, client meetings, and firm needs.
