Communications Specialist

CONTRACT | HYBRID | 1-DAY IN-OFFICE | NORTHERN SUBURBS ATLANTA . POSITION OVERVIEW Our client, a growing B2B marketing and communications agency is seeking a proactive and organized Communications Specialist to support a portfolio of nonprofit, government and association clients. This role combines content development, social media, digital marketing, project coordination and administrative support. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, natural problem solver and helpful team player who can manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly and jump in wherever needed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Write, edit and proofread newsletters, press releases, emails, presentations, reports and other communications materials Create, schedule and monitor social media content while maintaining brand consistency across multiple clients Support email marketing campaigns, digital newsletters and website content updates Create basic graphics, flyers, presentations and promotional materials using Canva or similar design tools Capture photos and videos at events and client activities for marketing and storytelling purposes Coordinate communications and logistics for meetings, events, webinars and outreach initiatives Maintain project timelines, organize files, track deliverables and support multiple client projects Manage calendars, schedule meetings, prepare agendas and provide administrative support to agency leadership Maintain organized communications records, digital assets and project documentation Collaborate with team members across communications, marketing and operations Identify problems, recommend solutions and help keep projects moving forward Support additional agency and client needs as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Strong writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines Proactive, helpful and solutions-oriented approach to work Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Canva Familiarity with social media platforms and content scheduling Experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact Ability to learn new platforms and adapt to changing priorities Interest or experience in marketing, public relations, communications or mission-driven work Portfolio samples demonstrating writing, social media, design or communications work PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Journalism, public relations, agency or client communications experience Photography, video editing or multimedia storytelling experience a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
