Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This role involves working 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. Nurses will be required to float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs and must commit to working every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, including dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement patient care plans.
• Document patient interactions and care activities using the Epic charting system.

Qualifications

• Must have a current South Carolina license or a Compact license prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting is required.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Community hospital experience preferred.

Miscellaneous Information

• All travelers should be aware of possible assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season from June through November.
• No parking fees associated with the facility.
• Guaranteed hours: The facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

Shift Details

This position requires flexibility to accommodate potential changes in scheduling. While block schedules may be requested, approval is not guaranteed.

The facility is an acute care hospital with a total of 286 staffed beds, providing a dynamic and supportive work environment for nursing professionals.
