Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Job Type & Schedule Full Time | Nights Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM Responsibilities Perform duties as assigned and requested. Complete focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient’s condition, procedures, medications, and treatments. Adequately assess and reassess pain; utilize appropriate pain management techniques. Provide patient care and communicate effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs. Demonstrate knowledge of medications and ensure correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors. Assist physicians with procedures and provide services requiring technical and manual skills. Perform treatments and deliver care within licensure scope. Ensure patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors. Operate and manage equipment safely and correctly. Educate patients and families on disease processes and recovery expectations. Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts/units as needed. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Current state or compact state RN license. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred). Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NRP, Handle with Care preferred within one year of hire. One‑year previous experience preferred.
