If you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you.Job SummarySenior Construction Project Manager – HealthcarePosition SummaryThe Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex healthcare construction projects from concept through close-out. This role oversees new construction, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades within active healthcare environments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all phases of healthcare construction projects, including programming, design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-outManage multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity within operational healthcare facilitiesServe as the primary owner’s representative, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholdersDevelop and manage project budgets, schedules, cash flow forecasts, and risk mitigation plansEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including FGI Guidelines, Joint Commission requirements, OSHPD (as applicable), local/state building codes, and infection control protocolsOversee contractor performance, change orders, pay applications, and contract administrationCollaborate with clinical, facilities, IT, and operations teams to minimize disruption to patient careConduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and adherence to approved plans and specificationsIdentify and resolve project issues proactively, escalating risks as neededLead project meetings and provide clear, concise reporting to executive leadershipSupport strategic planning, capital planning, and long-range facilities development initiativesMentor junior project managers and contribute to process improvement and best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)8–12+ years of construction project management experience, with significant experience in healthcare facilitiesProven track record managing projects in active hospital or clinical environmentsStrong knowledge of healthcare codes, regulations, and industry standardsExperience managing budgets ranging from mid-size renovations to large capital projectsProficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar)Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to make sound decisions under pressure and manage competing prioritiesPreferred QualificationsProfessional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEEDExperience working directly for a healthcare system or hospital ownerFamiliarity with design-build and IPD delivery modelsExperience with OSHPD/HCAI projects (if applicable by region)Core CompetenciesThese competencies reflect the values and behaviors expected of all Grady team members, regardless of role.
