Engineering Technician

Engineering Technician – Refrigerator & Compressor Testing Join GE Appliances, a Haier company, to conduct performance, reliability, and safety testing on refrigerators and compressors, working closely with engineering to ensure standards are followed during test setup, execution, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Apply technical expertise and in‑depth knowledge of appliances, specialized test environment equipment, software, and industry standards to review test plans and ensure appropriateness. Modify test setups as required and calibrate the test environment. Interpret test standards to confirm setup and appropriate methods to determine test stability and validity. Produce test summary reports in accordance with ISO 17025 Lab Quality Manual. Obtain universal refrigerant certification to perform compressor testing. Support airflow and UL testing activities. Move engineering samples between the test area, preparation area, and storage areas. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory environments with increasing responsibility, including troubleshooting appliances, test stations, or similar complex equipment. 2‑year technical degree or military equivalent. Universal refrigerant certification. Working Conditions Environment is normal for an office/lab setting. Physically capable of supporting hands‑on lab operations, including movement and management of large appliances such as refrigerators, automatic ice makers, and Monogram refrigerators.
