Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each phase with empathy and care
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Accurately document procedures and keep patient records up to date within the electronic medical system
• Stay informed about advancements in ultrasound techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Strong proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
