This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that’s constantly evolving.Main responsibilities:The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading complex sourcing initiatives, developing and executing category strategies, driving enterprise value, and serving as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders. This role operates with significant autonomy and accountability, influencing strategic decisions, managing supplier relationships, and delivering sustainable cost savings, risk mitigation, and operational improvements across assigned categories.The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager is expected to lead sourcing engagements from strategy development through implementation, while partnering with stakeholders, suppliers, Legal, Finance, and executive leadership to achieve enterprise objectives. The position will be based in our corporate office in Boise, ID. Strategic Sourcing & Category ManagementOwn end-to-end category strategies and sourcing initiatives.Develop and execute multi-year category roadmaps aligned with business objectives.Define category vision, priorities, and action plans.Evaluate market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to inform sourcing decisions.Build and maintain long-term sourcing strategies that support enterprise goals. Supplier Management & NegotiationLead complex supplier negotiations independently.Develop negotiation strategies that optimize commercial value, mitigate risk, and support business objectives.Manage strategic supplier relationships and influence supplier performance.Serve as the primary escalation point for supplier-related issues.Negotiate and structure commercial agreements, statements of work, and master service agreements. Financial & Analytical LeadershipBuild advanced financial models, cost analyses, should-cost models, and business cases.Identify, quantify, and validate cost savings opportunities.Understand and communicate EBITDA, P&L, and total cost of ownership impacts.Develop savings pipelines and support annual productivity targets.Translate complex data into actionable business recommendations and executive-level insights. Stakeholder EngagementAct as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and business stakeholders.Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Finance, Legal, Operations, Marketing, Technology, and other business functions.Drive alignment among diverse stakeholder groups.Present recommendations and business cases to senior and executive leadership.Influence strategic decisions through executive presence, analytical rigor, and effective communication. Risk Management & GovernanceAnticipate and mitigate supplier, contractual, financial, and operational risks.Develop contingency and mitigation strategies.Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, governance requirements, and contracting standards.Drive disciplined sourcing processes and risk-aware decision making. Leadership & DevelopmentMentor sourcing professionals and share best practices.Contribute to talent development, team capability building, and continuous improvement efforts.Lead by example through strong ownership, accountability, and collaboration.Serve as a change champion for new processes, tools, and sourcing methodologies. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field5 plus years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related business experience preferred.5 plus years of indirect category sourcing and supplier negotiation experience preferred.Experience leading complex sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.Experience managing strategic supplier relationships and enterprise stakeholder engagements.Direct or indirect people leadership experience preferred.
