Step into a dynamic educational environment as a speech-language pathologist and help shape student success through specialized communication support. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals skilled in evaluating and treating speech and language disorders within school settings.
What you'll do:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations for students with speech and language difficulties.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy sessions targeting communication goals to help students thrive academically and socially.
- Closely monitor and document progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, holistic support for students.
- Educate and involve families in their child's therapy process, fostering greater carryover and understanding.
Minimum qualifications for this role:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Holds (or is eligible for) a current state license in speech-language pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly preferred, though strong Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience with pediatric/school-aged populations is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
- Comfortable working autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
