Operations Manager

The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of daily operations, optimizing workflows, enhancing productivity, and driving efficiency. This role manages operational and customer-related challenges while focusing on process improvements, compliance, and high service standards. This seasoned leadership position requires extensive operational experience with The Basement Doctor of WV.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership & Team Development

Direct day-to-day operations ensuring alignment with company objectives while monitoring production schedules, staffing levels, and workflow. Provide leadership to sales, office, and production teams, ensuring seamless interdepartmental communication. Oversee employee training and development to meet performance standards. Advise on marketing strategies and serve as the main point of contact for cross-departmental issues.

Financial & Resource Management

Oversee employee time tracking, payroll processing, sales commissions, and production bonuses. Manage procurement of materials, inventory, and resources while maintaining budgetary constraints. Develop and manage operational budgets to ensure financial objectives are met while maximizing efficiency. Track and analyze financial performance metrics to identify areas for cost reduction and revenue growth. Ensure production teams have necessary tools, materials, and personnel to complete projects efficiently.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Conduct regular job audits, pre/post-production inspections, and job site visits to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance. Track and manage vehicle and tool maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, company policies, and customer specifications. Install projects as needed.

Customer & Vendor Relations

Build strong vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Address customer concerns promptly, maintaining high satisfaction levels. Run sales appointments for new customers when needed and handle service issues that arise, balancing customer satisfaction with company requirements.

Business Development & Problem Solving

Manage projects from start to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and resources properly allocated. Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. Contribute to company growth initiatives by identifying new market opportunities and developing strategies to increase service offerings. Proactively identify operational risks and resolve service, production, and sales-related problems quickly. Develop relationships with adjacent businesses to generate referral opportunities and upsell appropriate solutions during customer interactions.

Sales & Service Support

Run new customer appointments and Annual Maintenance Service visits as needed. Upsell appropriate basement solutions during customer interactions. Connect with homeowners to resolve service issues in a mutually beneficial manner. Perform technical installations when required and answer specialized questions during job site visits.

This position requires extensive operational experience with demonstrated success in team leadership, process improvement, and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and technical knowledge of basement solutions and installations.
