Bird Buddy is hiring a senior Industrial Designer in New York to lead concept-to-production design for our growing product ecosystem. You’ll drive research, design, development, prototyping, and collaboration with engineering and marketing to bring innovative ideas to life. This is a chance to own meaningful design work, build for real-world impact, and grow within a fast-moving, mission-driven startup. Key responsibilities Develop concepts into production-ready designs keeping the purpose, functionality and aesthetic excellence intact. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. mechanical engineering, supply chain, customer engagement) to bring cohesive and user-centered designs to market. Prototype and refine design language in partnership with vendors and engineering teams. Use an assortment of tools including but not limited to sketching, CAD, and rapid prototyping to lead design development on innovative products. Maintain and evolve Bird Buddy’s visual design language across the product portfolio. 5+ years working as an industrial designer. Experience designing consumer electronics is preferred. Excellent form development, creative problem solving, 3D visualization (Keyshot), and CAD modeling (Rhino, Solidworks) skills. Experience collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams. Experience with the entire design process, including design strategy, rapid prototyping, concept development, and manufacturing execution. Experience in mechanical design, CMF, and manufacturing processes. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast iteration cycles in a startup environment.
