Transportation Supervisor

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being both in the field and in the office, solving problems in real time, and developing a strong, high‑performing team.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and support drivers, floaters, and lead employees
• Assign daily duties and ensure timely route starts and pre/post‑trip completion
• Monitor route performance, weight slips, and route sheets to drive efficiency
• Identify improvement opportunities and conduct route observations
• Resolve customer concerns when needed
• Manage employee requests (vacation, PTO) and assist with scheduling
• Oversee accurate deliveries and exchanges
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members
• Address employee relations issues and document corrective actions
• Conduct safety meetings, facility inspections, and ensure OSHA/DOT compliance
• Investigate and report work‑related injuries, accidents, and incidents
• Train new drivers/helpers on equipment, safety, and company programs
• Respond promptly to incident alerts and action‑item emails

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in the transportation industry
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and related regulations
• Proven customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lead, coach, and build a strong team environment
• Experience managing drivers preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Class A or B CDL preferred
• Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook
