Charge RN II Maternal/Newborn Full-time Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Work hours: Full-time, 6:45AM-7:15PM, (3) 12-hour shifts/week, schedule varies including some weekend and holiday coverage Maternal/Newborn Department highlights: Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Mother friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility Our team is like a family with a newly renovated Mother/Baby, couplet care unit with 26-beds Average between 285-300 deliveries per month

Qualifications

Here's What You Need Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required BSN Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred RN Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required One-year ( 1) Year Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting Required 2-years' experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting preferred 2-years current Mother/Baby RN experience strongly preferred BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days Required CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism have basic computer skills using medical management application systems What You Will Do The Charge Nurse will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team support and actively participate in shared governance/councils committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development. evaluates the effectiveness of interventions directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
