This position will assist in developing computer-aided drafting design solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.Assist with preparing and revising plot drawings.Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline.Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions to design problems.Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.Required SkillsMust have AutoCAD experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Demonstrated leadership skills.Self-motivated and eager learner; aptitude to grow and develop within the field.Preferred SkillsCAD background with some experience in GIS preferred.Specialized CAD certification preferred.Education RequirementsMinimum High School Diploma/GED required; coursework in drafting technology is required.Minimum GPA 3.0.Work Environment / Physical RequirementsPosition is onsite; no hybrid or remote work.Candidate must sit in either the Phoenix office or the Albuquerque, NM office.9/80 schedule eligible after 2 months.BenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientThis client is a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture, and construction firm that has been building critical infrastructure for more than 125 years.
