Freight Sales, Inc. is looking for Mechanics to join our growing team! Keep our operations running smoothly with a career in fleet maintenance. In this role, you’ll inspect, maintain, and repair essential equipment and vehicles—ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, and ready for every delivery. You’ll play a vital role in supporting our drivers, customers, and overall business success. What You’ll Do Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle running Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectively Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists and jacks, to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautions Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devices such as motor analyzers, handheld computers and chassis charts to determine how to address problems Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly and to find issues to determine what the solution will be Replace parts, valves, bearings and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are in the proper limits Ensure parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Education - High school diploma or GED , Technical certification or degree preferred Experience - Experience working with diagnostic computers, previous experience as a diesel mechanic preferred Communication - Strong written and verbal communication skills Skills - Problem solving, ability to work with a team, attention to detail, ability to multi-task This role requires physical stamina and mobility: expect repetitive movements like bending and climbing, lifting hoses and equipment up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions—including hot, cold, and around fuel storage areas.
