Mechanical Engineering Project Manager

A mechanical and plumbing engineering firm specializing in custom designs and complex building solutions is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help them deliver mechanical solutions for building environmental systems. You’ll collaborate with engineers, clients, and construction teams to design systems supporting successful bidding and construction projects throughout Northern California from our Sacramento office.

Your Day Includes

• Manage mechanical engineering projects from design through construction support, coordinating schedules, deliverables, and client needs.
• Design heating, air conditioning, ventilation, hydronic, and plumbing systems for building projects.
• Develop building energy models and evaluate practical solutions aligned with project goals and applicable standards.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, providing clear technical guidance and responsive communication.
• Prepare technical documentation and construction deliverables using Revit and AutoCAD while applying California Building Codes and BMS controls principles.

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a consulting engineering or design/build environment.
• Knowledge of healthcare projects, hydronics, plumbing, construction support, BMS controls, and California Building Codes.
