Position: QC Scientist I Location: Greenville NC 27834 Duration: 9 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Shift: Monday To Friday From 08:00 AM - 05.00 PM Summary: Perform QC testing to support the safety, quality, and release of pharmaceutical products. Conduct microbiological, chemical, physical, and bioanalytical testing under GMP. Test raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and stability samples. Generate accurate laboratory data to support quality decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform microbiological and bioanalytical testing, including: Sterility testing Bacterial testing Endotoxin testing Particulate matter Membrane filtration TOC Conductivity Document testing procedures and results according to cGMP requirements. Compare laboratory results with specifications and determine acceptability. Work with QA and management on repeat testing and OOS investigations. Maintain laboratory equipment and cleanliness. Report equipment or laboratory issues to supervisors. Complete assigned activities within required timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve quality. Follow SOPs, GMP, GLP, and safety procedures. Maintain required compliance and data integrity. Required Skills Bachelor's degree required; Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field preferred. No prior experience required. Experience with microbiological identification, testing, environmental monitoring, and aseptic techniques preferred. Knowledge of GMP regulations, documentation practices, and pharmaceutical quality standards. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity. Strong scientific problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Pharmaceutical or regulated-environment experience preferred. Ability to work in cleanroom environments with required PPE. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Good manual dexterity and ability to perform laboratory activities safely.
