Rogers Group is seeking a qualified WELDER & Fabricator for our East TN operations based out of Oak Ridge, TN. Must be comfortable with heights and working in a man lift. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong welding and fabrication skills by repairing and maintaining quarry equipment and components to support safe and efficient operations. This position will report to the maintenance supervisor.

Pay depending on experience.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

• Inspect and perform daily maintenance on plant
• Inspect and perform repairs as needed for plant
• Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors and screens for plant
• Fabricate various components for the plants throughout our East TN division
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience necessary
• Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
• Ability to operate a man lift
• Arc welding experience preferred
• Experience in steel erection/destruction i.e., welding, cutting, and fitting preferred
• Experience working with crushers, conveyors, and screens a plus
• Previous experience working in a rock quarry preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
