Slice House by Tony Gemignani is seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team. This kitchen leader will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and consistency, and help lead a team of cooks in a fast-paced, pizza-focused environment. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating
- Oversee pizza dough production, sauce preparation, and topping assembly to maintain quality standards
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control across all dishes
- Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff, maintaining a productive and respectful work environment
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and reduce food waste
- Enforce health and safety standards, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager or similar role (pizzeria experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of pizza-making techniques
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for food, teamwork, and hospitality
