Opportunity:
Physician – Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Permanent placement opportunity providing comprehensive gastroenterology services with approximately 12 patient encounters per shift
• Position requires 7-10 days per month of call coverage
• Board certification required with credentialing timeframe of 60-90 days
• Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), injection of varices, and PEG placement
• ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) preferred but not required
• Perform small bowel biopsies and lower GI endoscopy procedures
• Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) preferred
• Perform colonoscopy procedures including biopsy and excision of polyps
• Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube preferred
• No specific certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS, ABLS) required
• Active California medical license required or ability to obtain
