HVAC Controls Estimator

Our client is seeking to fill the position of HVAC Controls Estimator to focus on Commercial and Federal markets. Responsibilities include developing price estimates for materials and labor for HVAC controls projects, coordinating bids from customers, working alongside the project design team to learn and apply technologies to meet specified scope, writing detailed proposals that accomplish the specifications, scope of work, plans, drawings and sequence of operation, coordinating with Sales and Account managers and attending site visits, pre-bid conferences, working with the design team to perform take-offs, conducting weekly bid board meetings coordinated with sales, engineering, operations and leadership, estimating price for materials and labor for projects, and identifying cost savings opportunities for bids.

Qualifications include 2-3 years' experience in estimating HVAC Controls projects preferred, an associate or bachelor's degree preferred, prior HVAC Controls field experience is preferred, experience in reading and understanding construction specification plans, ability to travel up to 35% of the time, ability to pass a federal government background check, excellent communication skills, proficiency in windows suite of products, and experience in CAD, Visio or Bluebeam.
