About the Position

We are seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians for locum coverage at a busy emergency department. Providers will float between hospital sites as needed, covering morning, evening, and night shifts. This is a high-volume setting, providing collaborative care alongside hospitalists, APPs, and ancillary staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency care to adult and pediatric patients.

• Evaluate, stabilize, and manage a wide range of acute medical and traumatic conditions.

• Collaborate with hospitalists, APPs, and ancillary staff for admissions and patient care coordination.

• Supervise paramedics and monitor ambulance arrivals via radio communication.

• Educate patients and families regarding care and treatment plans.

• Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

• Flexible scheduling: 8, 11, and 12-hour shifts; weekend coverage required.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (within 5 years of residency).

• Active Massachusetts medical license highly preferred.

• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required.

• Clean background and malpractice history.

• Local candidates only (no flights).

• Self-query NPDB within the last month required at presentation.
