Senior Prospect Researcher: Up to $55,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications. Required Application Materials Resume and Cover Letter are required Job Summary The Prospect Researcher I/Senior Prospect Researcher serves the Prospect Management & Research team within UT San Antonio Advancement and Alumni Engagement. This position conducts and facilitates research on individuals, corporations, and philanthropic foundations using public and proprietary sources, and integrates data into internal systems for analysis in support of development activities. Core Responsibilities Prospect Researcher Conducts and facilitates research on individuals, private businesses, public corporations, and philanthropic foundations, and integrates data from various public and published sources into a computer system for retrieval and analysis. Performs prospect identification and research; meets with development staff to support activities, initiatives and programs. Collaborates with development staff to develop prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and overall fundraising strategies. Advices development staff regarding new prospect possibilities; consults on feasibility of research requests and special projects. Creates profile reports tailored to specific goals and/or objectives; maintains, tracks and stores profile data. Maintains and updates policies and procedures for the prospect research programs; proposes changes and modifications. Reviews local and national news, business publications, economic trends and business development keeping abreast of prospect information; provides relevant information to development staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs prospect identification and research; prepares and delivers research findings to support development activities and initiatives. Collaborates with development staff to inform prospect strategy, including identification, solicitation planning, and portfolio development. Advises development staff on new prospect opportunities; consults on feasibility of research requests and special projects. Creates profile reports tailored to specific goals and/or objectives; maintains, tracks, and stores profile data. Maintains and updates policies and procedures for the prospect research programs; proposes changes and modifications. Reviews local and national news, business publications, economic trends, and business development, staying updated on prospect information; provides relevant details to development staff. Manages special projects as assigned. Provides training and guidance to advancement colleagues on constituent database (CRM) tools, as needed. Reviews research documents prepared by other Prospect Research Staff as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Prospect Researcher Five (5) years of related work experience. Senior Prospect Researcher Seven (7) years of related work experience. Both levels High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree can substitute for experience on a one-for-one basis. This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure. Physical Demands Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. This position will work both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. This position is contingent upon a successful background check.
