Operations Supervisor (2nd Shift) - Greenfield, IN Allegion is a global leader in security products, designing solutions that keep people safe in their homes and workplaces. This role leads the day‑to‑day operations on the 2nd shift, ensuring production meets quality, safety, and business targets. What You Will Do Conduct standard work reviews (Gemba walks, WPO, TPM, and Basic Problem Solving) with supervisors each week. Lead value‑stream improvement sessions to review task status and generate ideas. Perform formal audits across the area to verify compliance with safety, quality, and standard work. Participate in daily plant production meetings, rapid improvement events, and special projects. Monitor daily production, adjusting plans to meet revenue and other business targets. Manage labor levels, adding or reducing staff to align with customer demand. What You Will Need To Succeed Lead 1–2 Team Leaders and up to 30 hourly employees in operations. Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team, ensuring alignment with company policies and applicable laws. Handle all people‑management responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving complaints. HS diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years manufacturing experience (e.g., Assembly Operator to Team Leader) preferred. Strong reading, writing, and presentation skills; ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Proficiency in solving problems that involve probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry. Solid knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and ability to work within ISO 9001/14001/18001 standards. Understand and enforce safety guidelines and job risk assessments. Demonstrated ability to apply financial concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations. Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
