Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU) | Travel Contract

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical ICU setting, utilizing strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Perform and assist with procedures including chest tubes, tracheostomies, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, GI scopes, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system
• Adhere to unit badging, punctuality, and attendance policies, including a required 30-minute lunch break
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
• Maintain active compliance with all required certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Certification

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License required — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2–3 years of ICU experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in MICU and/or MSICU environments
• Experience with Meditech charting and order entry
