Cardiac Catheterization Technician

The CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION TECHNICIAN performs a variety of technical and supportive care tasks to assist physicians in performing complex and invasive cardiac catheterization procedures. Works under the direct supervision of the physician.

13 weeksShift time: 7a-7:30p3x12s or 4x10sDaily Caseload: 3-6, rotating between about 8 techs1+ Years of experience requiredFirst time travelers are not acceptedOn-Call every 2-3 weekends. On-call schedule is Fri: 7p-7a, Sat: 24 hours, 7a-7a; and Sun: 24 hours, 7a-7aNo block schedulesLocals accepted

JOB REQUIREMENTS

AART and NJ license must be in-handBLS, ACLS requiredSkill Requirements: Scrub, diagnostic right and left heart cath, interventional cath, CTO, structural heart, ablations, devices (include ICD, Pacemakers, loop recorders etc.), interpretation/management of dysrhythmias; Will accept proficiency in either cath or EP lab procedures, both skillsets highly desiredEquipment experience required: Sterile procedure and equipment set up, rotablator, IABP, closure devices, balloon inflator, and stentsCharting System: EPIC, Cupid and Merge
