Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health Education-accredited radiology or radiation therapy program, or equivalent.

• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.

• Current New Mexico state licensure required upon hire.

• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Two to five years of clinical radiation therapy experience preferred.

• Experience with IMRT preferred.

• LDR/HDR brachytherapy experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a hospital radiation oncology department.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain required core competencies and comply with policies and procedures.

Assignment Details

Shift hours: 08:00–17:00.

Work schedule: Monday through Friday.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed according to established practices and standards. Responsibilities include reviewing prescription and diagnosis, acting as a liaison between providers and support staff, preparing immobilization and protection devices, assisting in localization of tumor and dosimetry procedures, and maintaining accurate records and reports. Demonstrate knowledge and skills to address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of the patient population in the assigned area.
