Growing together.Location: 725 American Ave, Waukesha, WI 53188Primary Responsibilities:Greets visitors and patients in personCommunicates by telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellent customer serviceHandles confidential information appropriately by protecting and disclosing information to only those authorizedDemonstrates technical knowledge and competence in the departmental procedures and maintains current physician on-call schedules to ensure appropriate communication to ProHealth Care PhysiciansEnters and updates patient demographic and financial information, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early in the process as possibleObtains appropriate applications and forms, confirming signatures are on file. Photocopies / scans documents as neededProvides patients with financial responsibility information and collects patient liabilities, documents amount in the appropriate fields, and balances the cash box dailyWorks with partnering departments (Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas) to ensure all aspects of the patient's encounter are completed as neededProvides wayfinding instructions and assists with hospital information as requestedMeets or exceeds audit accuracy standards. Works worklists and error reports timely, and proactively seeks assistance to resolve as neededUnderstands and follows all Switchboard departmental processes implemented.Answers incoming calls for the hospital and handles overhead codes in alignment with policy and proceduresMay perform other duties upon requestYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED1+ years of customer service experience in an office setting or professional work environmentIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productsAbility to work the following rotating schedule from 3:00pm - 11:30pm:Week 1: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday & FridayWeek 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & SaturdayMust be 18 years of age or olderPreferred Qualifications:2+ years of customer service experience in a hospital setting2+ years of scheduling experience in a clinical settingExperience in a medical office or emergency departmentExperience with electronic medical records systemKnowledge of medical terminology**PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates. Candidates who are currently working for UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare or a related entity in a full time, part time or per diem basis ('Internal Candidates') are not eligible to receive a sign on bonus.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
